ABOUT ME

I am a senior in Waseda University in Japan, and I just came back from an one-year exchange program in University of California - San Diego (UCSD) . However, I was actually born and grew up in Taiwan until high school.

In order to make the most of my study abroad year in the US, which had been my dream since I was little, I had devoted myself to almost 10 events and organizations on campus. In the meanwhile, I paid 100% attention, trying to get the best understanding while in class, yet, going camping, hiking, backpacking, caving, horseback riding, kayaking, snorkeling, sky diving and traveling on weekends and vacations.

WHAT I'VE DONE

I am interested in marketing, so I joined UCSD Undergraduate Marketing Association. We helped several student organizations to market their events by setting timeline with various marketing campaigns. This year, we helped with a big project called Rock'N Roosevelt, a free concert on campus for undergraduate students with the theme of "Women Rock".

I am also very passionate about graphic design, I take every opportunity available to me. I had designed tickets, fliers, and posters for events of International House as well as one of the biggest dancesport competition on the west coast, Dance by the Shores, held by UCSD Dancesport Team.

WHAT I DO

I am a current freelance graphic designer and former Special Event and Marketing Coordinator in Gaslamp Event Management.

GEM – Gaslamp Event Management, Inc. is an award winning and full service event planning, hospitality consulting leader and promotion powerhouse, located in the heart of San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter.

I focused on the graphic design and the branding part of the projects. One of the projects that I was working on is "Republic of San Diego Nightlife Passport". I was resposible for the logo design of Republic of San Diego (RSD) as well as the design for the Nightlife Passport.
